Matilda Jr.

On Tuesday 18th July and Wednesday 19th July, KAA brought Roald Dahl’s classic tale Matilda to life in the musical Matilda Jr. The cast performed two matinees for local primary schools and care home residents, and two evening performances to packed audiences of students, parents and staff. From the very first rehearsal to the final curtain call the cast poured their hearts and souls into this production, resulting in what many described as a “West End quality” show.  

Every single cast member, band musician and crew member were fantastic, and rightly earned themselves the longest standing ovation ever seen in KAA’s 10 year history from the packed out theatre on closing night. A special mention must go to our Matilda (Candice, Year 8), Miss Honey (Ana, Year 12) and Patrick (Year 12) for their flawless performances in the principal roles.
