Lockdown Laptops

Imagine trying to get through 2020 without a computer!

Despite some government provision in this area, in December 2020 the school had exhausted their supply of laptops for remote learning with many students in younger year groups unable to learn remotely due to insufficient devices at home.

A generous contribution from one of our donors has paid for 100 chromebooks on loan to incoming Year 7 pupils who would otherwise have been disadvantaged by not having access to a device for remote learning.

These have been provided by KIT alongside support from the school to help improve poor connectivity in some students’ homes.

Even once schools have re-opened, homework is increasingly expected to be set online, so these resources will continue to be of great help.
